William Minniefield

William Minniefield is a student at the University of New York at Buffalo and holds three bachelors degrees. He will be pursuing his Masters in Epidemiology. His areas of research include Minority Health Issues, Minority Organ Donation, and Minority Education. He has recently completed two studies that will be submitted for publication. William has developed an education program to educate minorities concerning organ donation and the need to become an organ donor entitled "Minority Organ Donation Education Program" that is presented throughout Western New York.

Member: The American Society of Minority Health and Transplant Professionals (ASMTP). Active on national committees of: Research and Public Relations.

Member: The Minority Health Coalition of Western New York. Executive Board Member and Second Vice President. Chairman: Health and Research Committee, and Programs Committee.
 

Appointment: Board of Directors National Kidney Foundation of Western New York. Consultant for their patient support group on minority issues.

Appointment: Board of Directors Housing Opportunities Made Equal, Inc. of Western New York. Co-Chairman of Personnel Committee.

Member: Student National Medical Association (SNMA)

William Minniefield also has thirteen years of experience in the area of mental health that includes forensic mental health, emergency evaluations and drug rehabilitation. William is also part of a research collaboration with the Institute for Minority Health Research, Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, Atlanta, GA
