Keith S. Henry
Dr. Keith S. Henry, M.A. (Cantab.), Ph.D. (Univ. of Toronto), is known for widely-recognized scholarly contributions to three areas especially - Black political life in New York City, Black political life in Toronto, and literary analysis of the work of Caribbean-Canadian novelist and short story writer, Austin Clarke.  He has taught a very large number and range of Departmental and University courses, both social science and literary, from first year to graduate.  They include the essential courses of all four main focal areas in the African American Studies Department's curriculum - Black Africa, Black America, the Caribbean, and the African Diaspora - as well as the Department's main introductory course.  He has also served on or chaired diverse search and other committees in the Department and University and served additionally as chair of the Department.
