| The formation of this center is still at the discussion stage. If and when the center is formed its mandate will be to encourage the production and dissemination of knowledge on historical, political, social, economic and cultural issues, from a comparative and international perspective, concerning the peoples of Africa and the African Diaspora throughout the world (from Europe to Asia, from Africa to the Americas) by means of such discipline-located and cross-disciplinary collaborations as research publications, conferences and seminars, and other scholarly projects and programs.
