Course Glossary |
Guys/
Folks/ People: Please note: (1) Not all the terms in the glossary may be relevant to this particular course. (See announcements on the class home page and/or the class proceedings schedule in the syllabus packet to determine which terms you must know for the purposes of tests/exams). (2) The course glossary is a work-in-progress document. Therefore, I strongly recommend that you do NOT download and print the glossary but instead consult it when you need it, much in the same way you would refer to a dictionary (which a glossary is in a sense). Why? Because I am constantly revising it as I define new terms for you and revise existing terms. (3) When you consult the glossary for the first time, make sure you read the introduction. Very important! (4) You must read the footnotes that accompany an entry. Do NOT make the mistake of skipping the footnotes by being intellectually lazy. I have not written them for my own amusement! Questions on tests/exam on entries that have footnotes will assume that you have read the footnotes. |
